CBSE CTET Admit Card 2026: Guidelines for PwBD and PwD Candidates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued specific guidelines for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) appearing in CTET 2026. Eligible candidates can check the important guidelines below:

  • Candidates claiming the PwBD category must submit a disability certificate in the prescribed format along with a valid UDID card, issued by the competent authority as per Section 2(r) of the RPWD Act, 2016.

  • The facility of scribe and/or compensatory time will be provided only to candidates with benchmark disabilities, as defined under Sections 2(r) and 2(s) of the RPWD Act, 2016.

  • Candidates with benchmark disabilities such as blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected – BA), and cerebral palsy will be allowed to opt for a scribe facility, if required.

  • The scribe’s qualification must be one level lower than the minimum qualification prescribed for the post/exam.

  • PwD candidates will be given a 20-minute interaction session, one hour before the examination, to familiarize themselves with the scribe.

  • Eligible candidates using a scribe will be provided compensatory time of at least 50 minutes per hour of examination, as per the Office Memorandum dated 10 August 2022 issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).

  • Visually Impaired candidates may opt for a separate question paper in large font, if they choose.

  • All differently-abled candidates must carry the original disability certificate in the prescribed format to the examination centre to avail the above relaxations.
